Mentionwell respects copyright. If you believe content generated or hosted through the Service infringes your copyright, you can send us a notice and we will respond promptly.
How to submit a notice
To be effective under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (URL, screenshot) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone, email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

What happens next
On receipt of a complete notice we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 3 business days.
- Investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material.
- Forward the notice to the user who posted the material if applicable.
- Repeat infringers will have their access terminated.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and its prior location.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.
- Your name, address, and phone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located.
Send counter-notices to the same address.
Misrepresentation
Submitting a fraudulent or knowingly false notice can result in liability under § 512(f) of the DMCA.
